When a Retracement Fails—and What to Do Next
Failed retracements feel decisive because they are visually dramatic. In Retracement Precision Lab we grade them. Was the move accompanied by expanding participation, or did a thin print spike through and reverse? Did the next session accept the new side of the zone, or did price reclaim it quickly?
Students keep a short log: hold, reclaim, or acceptance. After twenty examples their eye improves. The habit prevents the common error of erasing a well-tested golden zone after one noisy candle. It also stops the opposite error—defending a dead ratio long after acceptance is clear. Training is less about memorizing Fibonacci lore and more about building a personal archive of retracements you have already judged honestly.
